March Collaboration

My great friend Celine contacted me back in early February inviting me to participate in a stylized photoshoot and wedding workshop that she was putting together. We talked a little bit for some brainstorming and color schemes then she sent me on my creative way.

For the next month I had been working on some really cool things. Sometimes I would have to craft in the car, so that i could stay up on schedule with all that I wanted to do for this. Its the first time that I could really share my work in a public setting (Facebook doesn't hardly count...) so I really wanted to make a good impression. Though not my typical colors to work with, I carefully designed around these moody yet elegant colors that were selected for the shoot:

To showcase my work best I knew I would need a combination of felted goods and painted products. So I decided on making a welcome sign, a felt ball garland, some other painted signs and small framed watercolor paintings. This my friends is dreaming big. To do all of that WHILE doing a busy semester of school is insane. Like SO much work, but i worked diligently on it all. I always kept school as my first priority and worked down the list of important crafts to showcase, thankfully I was able to get everything done on time and in good quality.

It was cool because not only was I able to present my crafts in the coolest way, but I was also able to take this great photography class! Though I'm not a photographer, I DO like taking the occasional nice picture. So I was able to learn some valuable things. While the above photos are ll taken by a mix of photographers, these are some (non-craft) pictures that I took:
Collaborations are amazing because everyone involved invests so much time and so much of themselves into a project that everyone benefits from. Can't wait for my next collaboration this was SO fun, and everyone was so kind. Positivity was FLOWING through everyone's collective creativity. Good stuff.

If you are interested in a future collaboration, please contact me! Because, YES!

Thanks Celine, I loved being a part of this amazing day!
